Most of the world's wine-growing regions sit within a specific global band known as the "wine belt," located between 30° and 50° latitude in both the North and South Hemispheres. Grapes are being grown and wine is being made in nearly every country in this belt.
This class will introduce you to some of the world’s wine regions both famous and obscure. We will talk about their origins and importance as well as the various systems that govern them. We will learn to recognize and interpret wine labels in some of the regions and about the characteristics, flavors, and pairings that go with these wines.
Participation is limited and there is a $15 fee.
