Join us on January 20 for an evening honoring the life, legacy, and enduring service of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This special MLK Day program will take place from 6:00–7:30 p.m. at the W. P. Carey Foundation Armstrong Great Hall.
The program will feature a timely conversation with former EEOC Chairs Jenny Yang and Charlotte Burrows, who will reflect on Dr. King’s legacy and its continued relevance in today’s civil rights and workplace equity landscape. The evening will open with a video introduction by Dr. Warren Stewart and include remarks from the following individuals:
· Benjamin Taylor, Civil Rights Attorney and former President of the Arizona Bar
· Shannon Walker, University Archivist, ASU Community Driven Archives
· Jessica Salow, Assistant Archivist, Black Collections
· Tommy Espinoza, Co-Chair, Committee for MLK Holiday
· David Lopez, Distinguished Professor of Practice, ASU Law
· Vice Dean Angela Banks, Panel Moderator
· Danny Ortega, ASU Law 1977, Community Activist
This event offers an opportunity to reflect, learn, and engage in meaningful dialogue about Dr. King’s vision and its impact on our work and communities today.
