Please join us for a lunchtime conversation featuring Roelf Meyer, one of the key architects of South Africa’s peaceful transition from apartheid to democracy.
Meyer will share insights from his pivotal role in drafting South Africa’s post-apartheid constitutional framework and his service in President Nelson Mandela’s cabinet as Minister Of Constitutional Development And Provincial Affairs. Since leaving party politics, he has advised on peace processes and constitutional negotiations around the world, including in Northern Ireland, Rwanda, Kosovo and Sri Lanka.

The conversation will explore themes of negotiation, leadership and democratic transition, offering a rare opportunity to learn from someone who helped shape history. This program reflects the Center’s commitment to fostering dialogue on global governance and conflict resolution.
