“Mea Culpa: The System of Attorney Discipline in Arizona,” by Maret Vessella, Chief Bar Counsel, State Bar of Arizona.
Ms. Vessella has been Chief Bar Counsel in Arizona since 2009. She directs the Lawyer Regulation Office at the State Bar of Arizona and is responsible for supervising all investigations and prosecutions of lawyers for violating the Arizona Ethical Rules/Rules of Professional Conduct. Ms. Vessella will describe the disciplinary process in Arizona and discuss the various types of attorney misconduct her Office investigates and prosecutes, and how not to become a subject of such an investigation.
