The ways in which options are presented can shape outcomes significantly. Like how jurisdictions can increase organ donation rates when they change the scheme from opt-in to default enrolment, states can drastically improve criminal record expungement rates through similar means. This is just one example of choice architecture’s potential as a law reform tool. And there are many others.
