Molly Nixon from the Cato Institute will offer opening remarks on the relationship between state capacity, government regulation, and individual liberty, with particular attention to the role of private-sector innovation in addressing housing, energy, transportation, and infrastructure challenges. Her remarks will be followed by an interactive discussion with Jason Huang on the tension between State Capacity and Individual liberty and then a Q&A with students. Lunch will be provided.
