The Declaration of Independence: Merciless Indian Savages Shaping the Nation

As part of our Native American Heritage Month programming, the Native American Law Students Association (NALSA) will host Professor Robert J. Miller for a presentation titled “The Declaration of Independence: ‘Merciless Indian Savages:’ . . . and More?” Professor Miller will discuss his recent research examining the Declaration of Independence’s language concerning Native peoples and its broader historical and legal significance. The event will provide ASU Law students an opportunity to engage with Professor Miller and his scholarship during his return to campus while on sabbatical.
